A Beacon of Light & Hope

Knock Shrine is a Roman Catholic pilgrimage site and national Marian shrine in the village of Knock, County Mayo, Ireland. Each year, over 1.5 million pilgrims visit the Shrine to explore and deepen their faith.

Knock Shrine was seeking to increase faith renewal through workshops and seminars; refurbish its Basilica, virtually unchanged since the 1970s; and further promote the site as an international place of pilgrimage. The Shrine engaged CCS to assess the potential of conducting a major fundraising campaign and to provide support with its implementation.

Entitled Witness to Hope, the campaign has secured support within Ireland and internationally, receiving some of the largest gifts in the Shrine’s history. The Shrine is well positioned to exceed its goal of €14 million – having secured more than €13 million to date, ahead of schedule. These vital funds are enabling significant investment, ensuring that Knock achieves its aim of remaining a beacon of light and hope for parishioners, pilgrims, and visitors.
