His Eminence Cardinal Thomas Collins acknowledges this historic campaign achievement and encourages the remaining parishes to continue to strive for success toward their own local campaigns.

Strong leadership, an exciting case for support, and the sacrificial support of Catholics throughout the Archdiocese of Toronto has propelled the Family of Faith campaign past its $105 million goal. The most ambitious faith-based fundraising initiative in Canadian history, the campaign has raised over $162 million to date from Leadership Gifts and 212 completed parish campaigns.

The Family of Faith campaign is ingrained in and motivated by the Archdiocese of Toronto’s Pastoral Plan. Deeply rooted in prayer, the mission of the Pastoral Plan is two-fold: to nurture and strengthen the faith experience of committed Catholics and announce the Gospel, both to the faithful and to those outside the Church. To accomplish this work, the Plan ensures the Archdiocese of Toronto will engage the family, especially youth; celebrate their cultural diversity; use resources wisely; and communicate effectively.

The Family of Faith campaign will provide the financial resources to fund specific elements of the Pastoral Plan that will encourage Catholics to be faithful stewards of all that has been entrusted to them.
