“At CCS we have the opportunity to be involved in making truly extraordinary things happen with wide-ranging organizations."
For Bernadette Lane, Senior Vice President of Special Projects and retired Managing Partner, growing up as the daughter of a second generation CCS executive meant hearing about campaigns and fundraising and even playing with campaign items such as pledge cards as a child. However, it wasn’t until a few years after college that she was inspired to join CCS. Through her father’s experience designing the firm’s first ever global campaign with Rotary International, to eradicate a disease no less through PolioPlus, Bernadette embraced in a new way the connection between the firm’s work of raising funds and the integral role it played in helping organizations accomplish extraordinary and sometimes seemingly impossible goals.
Since starting at CCS in 1989, Bernadette has continued that legacy working with renowned non-profits stateside and abroad, including Lions Clubs International, Saint John Paul II Shrine (formerly the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center), Michigan Opera Theatre, Feeding America, Kiwanis International, and the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. Bernadette has led successful donor and volunteer initiatives and meetings throughout the United States and in countries such as Brazil, Sweden, France, Italy, India, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
“I’ve just been incredibly fortunate and blessed with the clients that I’ve been able to work with over the years,” says Bernadette. “They have been amazing, remarkable people who have always kept me inspired and challenged to ensure their goals could be achieved.”
