Interim Development Management

← BACK TO SERVICES

We offer interim development management services to help sustain strong programs and enhance challenged fundraising efforts.

During transitional periods, CCS works alongside non-profit leaders to promote the continued growth and success of all development efforts. In addition to looking after day-to-day development operations, we are experienced in recruiting high-level development staff and onboarding new staff to ensure a cohesive, strong, and sustainable team.

Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra

Since 1930, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (ISO) has been a leader among the city’s arts organizations that today generates $500 million in annual economic activity and employs more full-time artists than any other organization in the state. In an effort to protect and sustain this cultural icon, CCS assisted with development staff management and a new donor challenge campaign, all in an effort to increase the annual revenue by more than 50 percent. The symphony had contributed revenue of $6.3 million the previous year. Following our engagement in the 2012-2013 fiscal year, more than 2,000 new donors had been secured and contributed revenue increased to $10 million. An additional $6 million in future year pledges was also secured, making it the highest contributed revenue year in ISO history. Following CCS’s engagement, the upward trajectory of support has continued each year, now surpassing $12 million in annual revenue.

To support the Lions’ mission to control and eliminate major preventable forms of blindness, CCS designed and managed two landmark campaigns to fund the SightFirst program. Both campaigns oversubscribed their goals, raising nearly $350 million from donors in 180 countries.

Lions Clubs International Foundation and CCS continue to work together to achieve the organization’s overarching mission. CCS is currently conducting an assessment of the foundation’s fundraising program.
