OUR partnership
Durham is one of the world’s great Universities and one of the most distinctive. The institution is a world top 100 university with a global reputation for excellence in teaching and research.
CCS began working with Durham for the first time in July 2017, supporting the institution to prepare and plan for their largest ever fundraising campaign. With a nine-figure goal, the campaign – entitled Durham Inspired – will have a far-reaching impact on students and society more broadly. CCS supported Durham in the first phase of this landmark initiative.
Given the magnitude of the overall goal, CCS recommended that the campaign take place across a number of phases. To position the institution for success, CCS suggested a target goal of £50 million for Phase I. To date, this transformational initiative has raised tens of millions of pounds in philanthropic resources and ensures that Durham remains at the forefront of learning, research, and leadership for generations to come. CCS is now supporting Durham in the second phase of the campaign.
The University’s leadership developed a compelling case for support that would appeal to donor audiences and helped in the design of tailored funding proposals. In addition, CCS provided campaign planning and support across the school’s development team to help strengthen overall fundraising activity and success.
CCS helped Durham to prepare for its most ambitious campaign to date, enabling us to reach unprecedented fundraising levels at the University. This partnership proved so valuable that we invited CCS to return for preparation of the launch of Phase II of the campaign in 2022.
