The Challenge

The Archdiocese of Toronto’s distinctive Pastoral Plan seeks to engage the family and especially the youth, celebrate their cultural diversity, and enhance the collective voice of the Catholic community.

CCS’s partnership with the Archdiocese of Toronto began in 2011 when the firm was asked to conduct an assessment for the Archdiocese’s Pastoral Plan. CCS then helped facilitate a feasibility planning and engagement study for a capital campaign.

The Archdiocese of Toronto chose to embark on a $105 million capital campaign—the largest faith-based campaign in Canada’s history—for developing youth ministries, Catholic formation and leadership development, communicating the Faith, and capital projects. Launched in 2013, the Family of Faith campaign with CCS as fundraising counsel has raised more than $165 million to date from nearly 45,000 households.
