NYSCI wanted to expand the museum’s capacity for education programs and exhibitions, and invest in teacher development and further research. CCS collaborated with NYSCI on a campaign which raised more than the $50 million goal, and allowed the museum to vastly increase science learning both within and beyond its walls.

The Challenge

The campaign for New York Hall of Science was a capacity building effort which aimed in expanding and creating new education programs, exhibition development, science learning, and research and development programs that integrated design-making and play.

The Solution

CCS partnered with NYSCI to conduct a $50 million campaign. Working closely with the board of trustees, corporate and foundation partners, and individual funders, the fundraising initiative raised more than $54 million.

The Impact

The fundraising program helped NYSCI continue their mission in exposing youth to a world of open-ended exploration and imaginative learning, creating groundbreaking immersive exhibitions, empowering teachers and students in STEM, and reinvigorating signature museum programs for new generations of science learners.
